Day 1, it’s a wonder, you and I were wandering around on our own
Day 3, it was me wondering where you were on day 2
Day 4, was that four letter word I swore I’d never use again
Day 5, we survived you and I, then skipped straight to the end
These were encounters that we couldn’t plan
And they have amounted to so much in the end
Thing 1 came along, proved us wrong, we were strong and we made it through
We fought the doubt, thought it out, and then along came thing 2
Yeah, when 3 turned to 4 we were poor and for sure it was hard to get on
But if visions can change, then maybe they were dreams all along
These encounters that we couldn’t plan
They have amounted to everything in the end

Laying under an apple tree
Among golden fields of wheat
When suddenly, she came to me
Out of the corner of my eye
She was a fox, loose
And fancy-free
Far away and afraid of me
Covered in pale skin
But I could see the fur inside
"Good morning my friend
Won't you come and play with me?"
"I'd love to my friend
But first you gotta tame me"
What does it mean to tame a thing?
Why would I cage you when you are so free
From all of the things
That we human beings seem to need
There's no cages in creating ties
Human friend, you are one of a kind
But to tame me is to need me deep inside
To tame you is to need you by my side
So I asked the fox to tame me
And of this, she said,
"In the hour my heart is ready to greet you
We both shall be tamed"
I said I think I tamed a Violet
She grew for only my water
And the fox said,
"We are responsible for what we tame"
And I repeated, so I would not forget,
"I am responsible for what I tame"
And I repeated, so I would not forget,
"I am responsible for my Violet"
And I repeated, so I would not forget,
"I am responsible for me fox
I am responsible for you"
She was a fox, loose
And fancy-free
